Dr. Romesh Wadhwani, Chairman
Dr. Romesh Wadhwani is the founder, Chairman & CEO of the Symphony Technology Group. He brings over 30 years of leadership experience to the group companies, as well as an impressive history of founding and growing successful technology companies. Founder and former CEO of Aspect Development Group, Inc., he spearheaded the emergence of Aspect as a leader in the B2B e-commerce arena. Aspect merged with i2 Technologies in 1999, one of the largest mergers in software history. After the merger and prior to founding Symphony Technology Group, Wadhwani served as vice chairman of i2 Technologies and on the i2 Technologies Board of Directors. Before founding Aspect, he was the CEO of Cimflex Teknowledge Corporation, which specializes in systems for computer-integrated manufacturing. Wadhwani received his BS from IIT Bombay and his MS and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University.

Tal Ball, Chief Executive Officer
Tal Ball drives the strategy and operations of Symphony Metreo leveraging his operational experience from over 20 years in the technology field driving growth across entrepreneurial startups and larger organizations. Prior to joining Symphony Metreo, Tal served as senior vice president, products and technology at Agile Software, where he lead teams in product strategy and product management and helped to align the company’s PLM solutions with their customer's business objectives. Prior to joining Agile, he held leadership positions in engineering, products and operations at various internet and software companies, including Aspect Development (acquired by i2 in 2000) where he helped Dr. Wadhwani and the team grow the highly valued and successful Supplier Relationship Management company. Tal has also held technology and leadership roles at Cadence, Alcatel and GE. He attended North Carolina State University where he earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.

Jim Clayton, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development
Jim Clayton brings extensive experience in building new companies to the leadership team at Symphony Metreo where he is responsible for corporate development activities including mergers and acquisitions. As a principal with Symphony Technology Group, Jim has lent his expertise to numerous portfolio companies, including SymphonyRPM, Metreo, Qiva, Trigo Technologies, and ePIT Systems. Prior to that, he was an engagement manager with McKinsey & Company and a member of its Corporate Finance and Strategy Practice. At McKinsey, he worked with clients in a variety of industries, including transportation, energy, technology, and finance. Jim attended the University of Texas, where he earned a BA degree in business administration and a law degree.

Bennett Indart, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
Bennett Indart brings extensive management experience in enterprise analytic applications, data warehousing, business intelligence and their implementations to the Symphony-Metreo team, where his responsibilities include managing marketing, product management and business development activities. Bennett joined the Symphony Technology Group in 2004 as Vice President of Products for group company SymphonyRPM. Prior to SymphonyRPM, Bennett held several senior management positions at Informatica Corporation in the areas of business development, product marketing and product management. Prior to Informatica, Bennett was Director of Product Development at Influence Software, where he helped to build the company from start-up to its eventual acquisition by Informatica in 1999. Prior to Influence Software, he was a senior consultant in Andersen Consulting's SAP business practice helping companies such as Hewlett Packard, Perkin-Elmer and Accuson manage the challenges of ERP implementation. Bennett received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from UC Berkeley and an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado.

S.R. Subramanian, Vice President of Engineering
Subramanian brings over 15 years in developing enterprise software products and building global development teams to Symphony-Metreo. Prior to Symphony-Metreo, Subramanian served as Director of Application Development for sister company SymphonyRPM. Prior to joining SymphonyRPM, he was Principal Engineer and Manager at Integral Development Corporation for their automated FX trading suite of software, managing a global development staff in the US and Bangalore, India. Prior to that Subramanian was manager of development at Aspect Development, responsible for development of its Component Supplier Management software suite. He has extensive experience in developing decision support applications including systems architecture, analytics, database, workflow and their infrastructures. Subramanian holds a Master of Technology in EE from IIT Kanpur, India, and Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from VRCE, Nagpur, India.

Chip Goodman, Vice President of Services
Chip Goodman brings over 25 years of business experience to his role at Symphony-Metreo. Goodman previously was founder of WhiteLight Systems, Inc., where he held every conceivable role over a 10-year period prior to its acquisition by Symphony. Prior to WhiteLight, Goodman was founder, CFO and vice president of consulting services for modernsoft, inc. Earlier in his career, he was a principal at R. Eliot King & Associates, a private investment firm, a senior consultant at Arthur D. Little and KPMG, and an independent consultant. He has focused his consulting and business startup activities on novel applications for the financial services and health care industries, as well as large-scale project and data management. He earned a BA from Beloit College and a MBA at Stanford University.

Xibin Chen, Ph.D, Director of Analytic Modeling and Chief Scientist
Dr. Chen has over 18 years experience in the research and application of various analytical methods as well as design and development of analytical applications. During the past 6 years, he has been working as a senior model analyst, architect and scientist in pricing optimization field. Prior to joining Symphony-Metreo, Dr. Chen worked as an analytical architect at Nomis Solutions and was in charge of the design and development of the Nomis analytical engine where he led the investigation, design and development of various algorithms and was responsible for the implementation of analytical models for several pricing optimization platforms. Prior to Nomis, Dr. Chen worked at Talus Solutions and Manugistics. He was in charge of the development of various pricing optimization models and algorithms as well as analytical modeling approaches. Dr. Chen received his doctorate in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson University focusing on Operations Research. He holds a bachelor degree in Mathematics from Nankai University and a master degree in Applied Mathematics from Wuhan University in China. He has co-authored multiple published technical papers in the field of optimization and its applications.
